Manufacturing onshore and offshore cranes for challenging conditions

We offer turnkey contract manufacturing for a wide range of onshore, offshore and heavy-lift cranes for accurate lifts in even the harshest environments. The cranes are built for durability and characterised by a small space claim, low centre of gravity, low own weight, and increased workability and functionality.

Besides an existing range of cranes, such as PMC cranes, overhead cranes, offshore wind cranes, subsea cranes, hoist cranes and other lifting equipment for construction, we have extensive experiences in providing tailor-made cranes to safely perform the lifting task in the most challenging conditions.

Safety is the number one priority

Safety is the number one priority. The design and manufacturing processes are in accordance with international standards and certified by recognised authorities such as LR, BV, ClassNK, DNV, and ABS.

As a turnkey contract manufacturer, we offer the entire process from design through production, assembly and testing. It enables you to focus on core competencies and it eliminates the hassle of communicating with multiple companies.

The largest offshore crane in the world

For Heerema Marine Constructors SSCV (Semi-Submersible Crane Vessel) Sleipnir — the world’s largest crane vessel — Huisman designed and manufactured two powerful cranes. The two revolving cranes can lift up to 20,000 tonnes in tandem. The crane boom has a length of 145 meters and with the boom up, the crane can reach a height of 210 meters above the waterline.

Sleipnir is capable of lifting large and commissioned modules. Therefore, the installation process takes less offshore time and this makes it less costly. Lifting larger modules means less time involved and therefore a smaller budget will suffice for a job.
